In a Tuk Tuk

Fallon and I spent the better part of a morning zipping around downtown Bangkok in a tuk tuk. It was an experience like never before. Those little buggers are small, fast, loud, and zippy. They are a lot of fun to be driven around in. Not only can you get from point A to B faster than you ever imagined, but you do it in a hair-raising way.

Welcome to "I Feel Home", the photography-blog of Fallon and Stephen Stanton. I Feel Home began on 4 April, 2006 as a way to document and communicate our experiences living abroad in Europe. We built this website for our family and friends to see what we are up to, since we are away from home quite a bit. You will find a variety of different types of photography here, everything from travel to personal stuff. Most of these photographs were taken on a Canon 20D. The name of the website comes from a song of the same name by the band O.A.R. (Of a Revolution):

There are few things pure in this world anymore,
and home is one of the few.
    We'd have a drink outside,
maybe run and hide if we saw a couple men in blue.
But to me, it's so damn easy to see,
that true people are the people at home.
Well I've been away but now I'm back today,
and there aint a place I'd rather go.

    I feel home,
when I see the faces that remember my own.
    I feel home,
when I'm chillin outside with the people I know.
    I feel home,
and that's just what I feel.
    Home to me is reality,
and all I need is something real.

    Feelin alright, headin out tonight,
maybe off to a dark driveway.
I say now some feel bored,
and some are lookin for more.
Well, we all just decide to stay.
    We got nothin to do,
    and I look at you,
I see something that I know and love.
And with the crack of a smile we all stay a while,
we know from home there aint nothing above.

Well in the end we can all call a friend,
well that's something I know as true.
And in a thousand years and after a thousand tears,
I'll come back to my original crew.

    Because to me, throughout eternity,
there's somewhere where you're welcome to go.
I said it's something free that means a lot to me,
when I'm with my friends I feel home.

    I feel home,
when I see the faces that remember my own.
    I feel home,
when I'm chillin outside with the people I know.
    I feel home,
and that's just what I feel.
Because home to me is reality,
and all I need is something real.
    Home to me is reality,
and all I need is something real.
My home to me is the only reality I have left,
    I need something real,
    that's why I go home.

I feel home, feel my home.
High ceiling door, music it brings me home.
I lay down at night, I feel that road,
    under me, rolling.
The yellow line might lead me away,
but its gonna bring me home.

I don't care where you come from,
I don't even care where you go.
All I need to know is right at this moment,
    were all at home.
I don't care where you come from,
    don't care where you're going,
all we need to know is we're all in our home.
    my hear told me so.

And music, you bring me home.
Reality to me, is that door.
    And I walk through,
    I walk through,
    I'm walking back to you.

    You're my home.
